Women's U19s to face England, Spain and Norway at Euro 2015

The women’s U19s have been drawn into a tricky group for the European Championship 2015 finals in Israel (15th-27th Juli). Maren Meinert’s team will face England, former runners up Spain and Norway, in group B. The draw took place today at half time during the Israeli cup final in Haifa. Hosts Israel will face Sweden, France and Denmark in group A.

Germany kick off their campaign on 15th July against England, followed by Norway on the 18th, and finally on the 21st they come up against Spain. Venues and kick off times are yet to be confirmed. The top two teams of each group will qualify for the semi fianls on 24th July before the final in Netanya on the 27th July.

Germany were convincing during the second round of qualifiers back in April, when they beat Belgium, Ukraine and Scotland to send them on their way to Israel. Spain also won each of their three games, against Finland, Portugal and Turkey. England and Norway drew with each other and both qualified with seven points, with the Scandinavian side scraping through as the best second-placed side.
