U19s EUROs: Viehl drops out, Ott called up

Andrea Viehl of FC Bayern Munich has been forced to end her participation in the U19s European Championship in Slovakia early, due to a knee injury. Head coach Maren Meinert has called up Melanie Ott of FSV Gütersloh 2009. She is one of the older players in the team and took part in a friendly for the first time for the U19 women’s team in 2014.

The Germany team are travelling to Trnava on Friday. Their first group game is on 19th July (18:00 CEST) against Spain. In their other encounters, Germany face Switzerland (22nd July, 18:00 CEST) and Austria (25th July, 18:00 CEST).
