World Champions stay fourth in FIFA rankings

There was no change for Germany in March, as Die Mannschaft have stayed fourth in the FIFA/Coca-Cola international rankings. Joachim Löw’s team are on 1,355 points, behind Belgium with 1,506, World Cup runners-up Argentina with 1,457 and European champions Spain with 1,374.

The only team out of the top 20 to climb up the rankings was Italy, who moved up one place to 14th. The main beneficiaries in the top 50 from March were Poland, who are up three places to 31st. Serbia entered the top 50 at the expense of Norway, who dropped to 51st.

The biggest jumps were done by Venezuela and Armenia. The South Americans climbed six places to 75th after a 1-0 win over 57th-placed Costa Rica. However, Armenia went one better and moved up seven places to 116th. Other countries that had a successful month include Israel (67th, up seven), Kazakhstan (125th, up six) and Guyana (156th, up six).
