Wehen Wiesbaden reach top spot

SV Wehen Wiesbaden top the third-division despite only managing 1-1 draw away to Arminia Bielefeld. The home side were the better side in the first half but couldn’t press home and advantage until the second-half, despite Felix Burmeister’s impressive 36th minute effort. Dennis Mast put them in front in the 68th minute, but Wiesbaden equalised eight minutes later through Soufian Benyamina.

Münster miss out on chance to top the table

The draw in Bielefeld meant that victory would see SC Preußen Münster top the table, however, they couldn’t take full advantage of the opportunity so remain in second. Münster took the lead away to Stuttgart Kickers in the 24th minute thanks to Erik Zenga’s goal, but they were pegged back ten minutes after the break by the hosts’ Lhadji Badiane. The draw means Stuttgart Kickers drop to eighth in the table after 17 games.

Rot-Weiß Erfurt slumped to a 2-0 defeat away to MSV Duisburg. The first-half was an even affair with both sides playing well without finding a break through. The deadlock was broken with just 13 minutes left on the clock. Zlatko Janjic put the hosts in front and Michael Gardawski sealed the victory in the 88th minute.

Dynamo’s poor form continues

Dynamo Dresden are still waiting for a victory. They haven’t tasted success in their past three games. Stefan Böger’s side started better away to Unterhaching but couldn’t convert any of their chances. They scored further goals through Lucas Hufnagel (77’) and Dominik Widemann (84’) to complete a comprehensive 3-0 victory.

Chemnitzer FC beat bottom club Jahn Regensburg 4-1. Chemnitz raced into a 3-0 half-time lead thanks to goals from Christian Mauersberger (14’) and a brace from Anton Fink (19’ and 35’). The hosts made it four after the break thanks to Philip Türpitz’s 68th minute effort. Daniel Steininger scored a consolation goal from the spot for Regensburg.

FC Hansa Rostock beat VfB Stuttgart II 4-1 thanks to a hat-trick from Marcel Ziemer. Ziemer put the hosts in front in the second minute and doubled the lead shortly before the break. Borys Tashchy’s 64th minute goal gave Stuttgart hope, but Ziemer completed his hat-trick with 16 minutes to play. Mustafa Kucukovic completed the scoring in injury time.

Osnabrück beat 1. FSV Mainz II 2-0 thanks to goals from Massimo Ornatelli (33’) and Stanislav Iljutcenko (65’). The day’s other game saw SG Sonnenhof Großaspach pick up victory away to Hallescher FC. There was late drama in the game, with Cidimar’s opener coming with just two minutes left to play. Simon Skarlatidis sealed the victory in the 92nd minute.
