German champions VfL Wolfsburg have put their coach Armin Veh on leave. The club made the decision following a loss against 1. FC Köln on Sunday, which gave them a total of nine winless games in succession. Wolfsburg currently ranks tenth in the Bundesliga standings.
Felix Magath, who had led the club to a surprising championship last year, handed over the reigns to Veh before the start of the season, signing with Schalke 04 himself. A successor for Veh is yet unnamed, with Lorenz-Günther Köster manning the post on an interims basis.
