U21s travel to Leogang for training camp

Preparations for the U21 European Championships (17-30th June) in the Czech Republic are heating up as Horst Hrubesch’s side travel to Austria for their training camp in Leogang. The team will be prepare towards their main goal – the semifinals and subsequent qualification to the Rio Olympics in 2016 - under fantastic facilities in Austria, until the 10th July.

The players have already taken part in a two-day seminar with a training session in Hamburg, over the last week. There are currently 26 players in the preliminary squad for the U21 EUROs. “My dream is for the Olympics; my goal is to win the EUROs. But as long as we take things one step at a time, nothing else matters.”

Hrubesch needs to submit his final 23-man squad for the tournament to UEFA by the 7th June.
