U20s celebrate away victory in Italy

The Germany U20s men celebrated their first victory of the international break. Head coach Guido Streichsbier’s team came out on top as they beat Italy 1-0 in Forli, 75 kilometres south east of Bologna. Forward Cedric Teuchert scored what proved to be the match-winner for Germanys in the 43rd minute.

The win against the Italians served as revenge for the last time the two nations met, as the U20s lost 1-0 in Lübeck the last time the two nations met. In the U20s’ round-robin tournament table, Germany remain in fourth place with three points from three games, they are still however still in-touch with the top of the table.

The matches continue for the Germany youth squad after they travel home as they take on Poland U20s in Zwickau on Monday.
