U20 Women’s team to face Venezuela, Mexico and South Korea in the World Cup

The Germany U20 Women’s team has been drawn into group D for the World Cup in Papua New Guinea (3rd November to 3rd December). They will face Venezuela, Mexico and South Korea as they attempt to defend their title The draw took place on Thursday in Zürich. The fixtures will be played in the capital city, Port Moresby and in Lae.

The two best teams in each of the four groups will progress to the quarterfinals. It will be the first time that Papua New Guinea has hosted a FIFA tournament.

Germany won the World Cup in Canada in 2014 by beating Nigeria 1-0 in extra time. It was their third title win in the seven tournaments so far.
