U 21 win thriller in Greece thanks to three Mlapa goals

Three goals by Hoffenheim striker Peniel Mlapa, one of them five minutes into injury time, secured Germany's Under 21 national Team a 5-4 (2-2) victory at Greece in the qualification for the EURO 2013. The team of DFB Coach Rainer Adrion celebrated their sixth win in as many matches.

Mlapa was on target in the 28th and 45+1st minute and secured three points in a thrilling match just seconds after ten-men Greece - Konstatinos Fortounis had seen the Red Card in the 90th minute - had scored the equalizer in injury time as well by Panagiotis Vlachodimos (90+2.).

Thanos Petsos scored the opening goal after 22 minutes and Fortounis equalised the first German lead with only seconds to go in the first half (45+3.).

After the break Alexander Esswein made it 3-2 for the unbeaten Germans (56th), with Petsos finding an answer again just minutes later (62nd). But when Stefan Bell headed the fourth German goal three minutes from the regular end, the game seemed to have been decided. Just for Vlachodimos and Mlapa to give it an extra twist.
