Women's Bundesliga club Turbine Potsdam are the new German Champions. On the final round of the Bundesliga the team from Potsdam beat defending champions 1. FFC Frankfurt 7-2 and thus won the title for the first time in the club's history.
Potsdam thus ended their most successful season so far, winning the double of German cup and championship.
Conny Pohlers (10th/52nd/68th), Petra Winbersky (28th/40th), Anja
Mittag (64th) and Viola Odebrecht (75th) scored for coach Bernd Schröder's team. Potsdam are now qualified for the UEFA Women's Cup for the first time.
