Süle and Rudy to move to Bayern

The transfers of Germany internationals Niklas Süle and Sebastian Rudy from 1899 Hoffenheim to Bayern München have been confirmed. As both clubs revealed on Sunday, the duo will move to the Bavarian club at the end of this season.

While Bayern will sign defensive all-rounder Rudy on a free transfer and on a contract that lasts until June 2020, a fee was agreed to secure Süle’s services until June 2022 since he was contracted at Hoffenheim until 2019.

Rummenigge: “It’s an investment in the future”

“Signing two Germany internationals is an investment in FC Bayern’s future,” said club chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, who spoke of a “fair and respectable” understanding between the two clubs regarding Süle’s transfer.

“To move to Munich is an absolute dream for me. I want to win titles there,” said Rudy, who has twelve caps for Germany. Süle is looking forward to “playing at one of the best teams in the world” next season. Rudy was given his debut for Germany on 13th May 2014 in the 0-0 draw with Poland in Hamburg. Head coach Joachim Lӧw played Süle in the 2-0 win over Finland in Mӧnchengladbach in August 2016.

Hoffenheim have also had an outstanding season so far thanks to Süle and Rudy and remain the only unbeaten team in Germany. Julian Nagelsmann’s team sit in fifth place after six victories and ten draws.
