Against France match for first place

"Of course we are happy to have reached the quarterfinal. it was our main goal. But I'm not as happy about the way we played in the first half. We had our problems offensively and reacted more than we acted. I told the girls during the break to work on that and they made it better afterwards", coach Maren Meinert said.

In their last preliminary match on Tuesday (11.30 am CEST) in Augsburg against European U19-champion France first place in Group A is now at stake. The French beat Costa Rica 2-0 (0-0) and are second with four points. Colombia still can hope to qualify with one point, while Costa Rica is out of the tournament being pointless.
