Schalke keep top in sight

Schalke 04 delivered a winning start to the second half of the Bundesliga by beating 1. FC Nürnberg 1-0 (0-0) on Sunday. The "Knappen" climbed to second place. Later on Sunday Borussia Dortmund celebrated a 3-2 (2-0) victory at 1. FC Köln.

On Saturday Bayer Leverkusen beat FSV Mainz 05 4-2 and stay on top of the table after round 18. Bottom of the table Hertha BSC Berlin won 3-0 at Hannover 96, defending Champions VfL Wolfsburg lost 1-3 at VfB Stuttgart. On Friday Bayern München celebrated a 2-0 victory against 1899 Hoffenheim.
