On Monday the final match of round three between promoted Hansa Rostock and VfL Bochum ended in a scoreless tie. Bochum was short-handed after Philipp Bönig got a red card in the first half, but Rostock couldn't score, despite a couple of good chances.

Eintracht Braunschweig slipped off six places in 2nd Bundesliga on Sunday. Promoted Braunschweig lost 0-3 (0-1) at Eintracht Frankfurt on third day of play. Alexander Meier of Eintracht Frankfurt scored two goals. Karlsruher SC beat Erzgebirge Aue 2-0 (1-0). In the third game of the day MSV Duisburg collected the first point of the season. The match between FSV Frankfurt and the "zebras" closed 0-0.

On Saturday 1860 München beat Energie Cottbus without problems 5-0. Benjamin Lauth was with three assists and one goal man of the match. Meanwhile Greuther Fürth landed a win against Dynamo Dresden. Olivier Occean scored the only goal in Fürth.

München, Fürth and Cottbus have 6 points after the third round and hold access to Fortuna Düsseldorf (7 points).

Round three of 2nd Bundesliga began on Friday with wins of Fortuna Düsseldorf, FC St. Pauli and 1. FC Union Berlin. Düsseldorf achieved a 4-1 against FC Ingolstadt, while St. Pauli won 3-1 against Alemannia Aachen. Both teams have seven points after three rounds and established themselves in the top flight.

Berlin had no problems with Paderborn. Christian Stuff (5.) and Christopher Quiring (64./66.) scored the goals. In Düsseldorf Sascha Rösler, Thomas Bröker (50./72.) and Oliver Fink stroke, Moritz Hartmann (53.) scored the first goal of Ingolstadt in this season.

Relegated St. Pauli is still without a loss. Max Kruse (17./90.) and Florian Bruns made the win perfect. In contrast Aachen is without points furthermore. The team of coach Peter Hyballa will attempt the first win of this season in the next round.
