Quarterfinal dedicated to "Protect Children in War" campaign

June 24 will be a special day in the joint UEFA/ICRC initiative to raise awareness of the need to protect and help children affected by war. The centre circle flag for the first quarter-final match will feature the campaign logo "Let us Play". The Portuguese Red Cross will distribute "Play by the Rules" baseball caps, pins and flyers. Over 2.000 children will release balloons with the logo in Lisbon. The 65.000 ticket-holders will recive campaign pins.

Throughout the tournament referees will wear the campaign logo on their sleeves. One out of the four campaign spots will be broadcast on giant screens at each match and the official EURO 2004 programme will carry a feature article on the campaign. [tok]
