Paderborn to host Bayern Munich in DFB-Pokal quarterfinals

The DFB-Pokal quarterfinals were drawn today live on German TV station ARD. The draw took place in the foyer of the German Football Museum in Dortmund and was conducted by Oliver Roggisch, for whom it was a “childhood dream” come true as he drew the teams from the glass bowl under the guidance of Horst Hrubesch.

Last years’ finalists Eintracht Frankfurt were the first team to be drawn and will face Mainz 05 in a derby. SC Paderborn, the only remaining third-tier side in the DFB-Pokal were drawn against dream opponents and will face record DFB-Pokal winners FC Bayern at home on either 6th or 7th February.

The quarterfinal draw:

Eintracht Frankfurt - Mainz 05

Bayer Leverkusen - Werder Bremen

SC Paderborn - Bayern Munich
