Olympia Gold-Medalists hot on the USA’s heels in new FIFA World Ranking

The Germany women’s national team stay second in the new edition of the FIFA World Ranking with 2112 points behind World Champions the USA (2137). The DFB women have closed the gap between themselves and the US ladies thanks to their Olympic triumph. Germany are now only 25 points behind the three-time World Cup winners in the current ranking, while France sit third with 2046 points.

Canada’s women’s team made big strides in the ranking, following their Olympic bronze which left them with 2031 points and gave them fourth spot as well as their best ever ranking.

The next edition of the FIFA Women’s World Ranking will be published on 23rd December.
