Özil wins FA Cup again with Arsenal

World Champion Mesut Özil won the English FA Cup with Arsenal for the third time in four years. The Gunners beat London rivals Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley Stadium to win the 136th edition of the oldest cup competition in the world for a record 13th time - moving them one clear of Manchester United.

Fellow world champion Per Mertesacker returned to the starting line up after a long injury break and lifted the trophy to jubilant celebrations at the end of the game.

Alexis Sanchez’s early strike was cancelled out by Diego Costa with 13 minutes to go, only for Aaron Ramsey to head home the winner two minutes later. The victory brought Arsene Wenger his 10th title in 21 years and denied Chelsea the chance of a double to go with their Premier League triumph. The Blues ended the game with ten men after Victor Moses was sent off with twenty minutes to go.
