Niersbach elected president, Sandrock as General Secretary

Wolfgang Niersbach is the new President of the Deutsche Fußball-Bund (DFB). The previous General Secretary was unanimously elected by 257 delegates at the extraordinary Bundestag in Frankfurt am Main as the successor of Dr. Theo Zwanziger. Niersbach thereby is the eleventh President in DFB history.

Furthermore Helmut Sandrock was accepted as the new General Secretary. The 55-year-old was designated by the Presidential Board of the DFB and unanimously approved by the delegates.
