MSN send Barca into final eight

Barcelona have progressed to the quarter finals of the Champions League thanks to their star trio of forwards. The defending champions, who had World Footballer of the Year Lionel Messi and Germany goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen in their starting XI, made sure there were no upsets with a 3-1 win in the second leg. The Catalans had already won the first leg 2-0 in London.

Superstars Neymar, Luis Suárez and Lionel Messi all found the back of the net for the Spanish champions, who have now reached the final eight for the ninth consecutive season and are still on course to be the first side in the history of the competition to defend their Champions League crown.

World Champion Mesut Özil started the game for Arsenal, whilst Per Mertesacker was on the bench, but it was Mohamed Elneny who levelled the game on the night for the visitors. Ter Stegen had little chance for the goal but did make an excellent save from an Alexis Sanchez free kick in the 80th minute.
