Borussia Mönchengladbach Champions League play-off opponents are Young Boys Bern. The draw was made in Nyon on Friday afternoon.
"It’s going to be tricky. Young Boys Bern knocked out Shakhtar, who have been Champions League regulars in recent years, which shows how hood they are. We drew 3-3 with them recently, so we can’t underestimate them. People will say we’re the favourites going into the tie, but I’m not sure if that’s true. We’re of pretty equal standing," explained sporting director Max Eberl.
The first leg will take place in Switzerland on 16th August, with the return match in BORUSSIA-PARK being played on 24th August. Bayern München, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen have already claimed spots in the group stage of the competition.
