Mittag voted "Player of the Year" in Sweden

Champion of Sweden, top goalscorer and now something else: Germany international Anja Mittag has been voted “Player of the Year” in the Swedish league after the striker from FC Rosengard had a perfect season in her adopted homeland. And the Champions League is also going well: they won the first leg of their last 16 tie against Fortuna Hjörring from Denmark 2-1 and they should make it through into the quarter finals of Europe’s top tournament on Thursday (19:30 CET.)

Anja Mittag will also be in the limelight for Germany. On Tuesday, 18th November, manager Silvia Neid’s team will meet up in preparation for their last international game of the year on Sunday, 23rd November (16:00 CET) against England at London’s Wembley Stadium.
