Mayer-Vorfelder elected again for UEFA Executive Committee

Gerhard Mayer-Vorfelder, president of the German Football Association (DFB), who is a member of the UEFA Executive Committee since the year 2000, has been elected again for the next four years. The election took place during the UEFA Congress held in Limassol, Cyprus.

Other re-elected candidates beside Mayer-Vorfelder, who is also member of the FIFA Executive Committee since 2002, have been the existing members of the UEFA EXCO, Viacheslav Koloskov (Russia), Marios Lefkaritis (Cyprus), Joseph Mifsud (Malta), Per Ravn Omdal (Norway), Matthieu Sprengers (Netherlands) and Geoffrey Thompson (England). A new member in the committee is the president of the Italian Football Federation, Franco Carraro.
