Khedira’s Juve seal the Double

World Champion Sami Khedira and his Juventus side have taken the next step to achieving the treble, after they won 3-0 against Crotone to seal the Italian Championship. It’s the Turin giants’ sixth Serie A title in a row and second piece of silverware this season, after already triumphing in the Coppa Italia. With one matchday to go, Juventus lead Antonio Rüdiger’s AS Roma by four points.

In the Juventus Stadium, former Bayern striker Mario Mandzukic put the hosts ahead after finishing Juan Cuadrado’s cross (12’). Paulo Dybala then doubled his side’s lead from a direct free kick (39’). Juventus sealed the win with a goal seven minutes from time - Alex Sandro headed in from a corner.

Can and Liverpool finish fourth

Emre Can and Liverpool have finished the season in fourth place in the Premier League, after beating Middlesbrough 3-0 on the final matchday. It means the Reds have given themselves a chance to play in the Champions League next year, as they'll be in the play-offs in the summer

However, Can’s fortune is bad news for World Champions Mesut Özil and Shkodran Mustafi. Despite winning 3-1 against Everton, it wasn’t enough to see Arsenal finish inside the Champions League qualification spots - it’s the first time this has happened to the Gunners since 1997. Nevertheless, there will still be European football at the Emirates next season, in the form of the Europa League.

City, Sané and Gündogan into the Champions League

Pep Guardiola's Manchester City and Germany internationals Leroy Sané and Ilkay Gündogan have finished the season on a high note. After failing to really challenge for the championship, Champions League and FA Cup, the Citizens outclassed Watford in the final game of the season, winning 5-0 and automatically qualifying for the Champions League.
