Joachim Löw remains in charge until 2012

Germany coach Joachim Löw is set to sign a two-year extension to his current contract which will keep him in charge of the national side until 2012. The 49-year-old will sign the extension in January and German Football Federation (DFB) president Dr. Theo Zwanziger confirmed a deal has already been agreed upon.

With his side set to face Australia, Ghana and Serbia in Group D at next June's World Cup in South Africa, the extension means Loew will be in charge of Germany for Euro 2012 which will be held in the Ukraine and Poland. "We have come to an agreement to extend this successful collaboration until after the World Cup," said Zwanziger with Löw's current contract set to run until July 2010. [cle]
