World champion Thomas Müller has been chosen as the ‘DFB Cup Hero’ for the upcoming season, and has had his footprint immortalised on the ‘Walk of Fame’ in the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.

The 26 year old won the prize, which is sponsored by the DFB in conjunction with Volkswagen, with 39% of the vote. His closest challengers were Erzebirge Aue’s Max Wegner and Werder Bremen’s Claudio Pizarro, who claimed 21% each. “It is really cool to have been selected for the award” said Müller, who won the double with FC Bayern last season. “It is a good feeling”.
