Hamburg new leaders after win over Köln

On round four of German Bundesliga Hamburger SV beat 1. FC Köln 3-1 (1-0). The victory made them climb to first position in the table ahead of Bayer Leverkusen. Werder Bremen landed their second consecutive win when they beat home team Hertha BSC Berlin 3-2 (0-0). Bayern München saw new signing Arjen Robben score twice in their 3-0 win at home against reigning Champions VfL Wolfsburg.

On Friday Borussia Mönchengladbach beat FSV Mainz 05 2-0 (1-0) on home turf. Raul Bobadilla and Marco Reus scored for the home team. Gladbach are yet to lose a point in their own stadium while Mainz couldn't confirm their strong performance from last week, when they beat Bayern München 2-1.

On Sunday the round will be closed with the game between Hamburger SV, who beat Wolfsburg in the last round on their own ground, and 1. FC Köln.
