Dejan Lovren also scored for the away team.

James McArthur twice equalised for Palace, taking full advantage of two defensive errors from the Liverpool defence, with German and ex-Mainz 05 goalkeeper Loris Karius in between the sticks.

Real and Kroos remain top

Real Madrid stay top of LaLiga thanks to a big performance from European Champion Cristiano Ronaldo. The record champions beat CD Alaves 4-1 on matchday 10, taking their tally to 24 points. Ronaldo scored a hat-trick for the record champions, who started with Toni Kroos in midfield.

Alaves took the lead seven minutes into the match through former Köln player Deyverson, but just ten minutes later the Brazilian conceded a penalty for handball – with Cristiano dispatching the spot kick. The Portugal captain completed the turnaround in the 33rd minute with his second of the match.

Ronaldo missed a chance to complete his hat-trick from the penalty spot, before Morata made it 3-1 in the 84th minute. The three-time Ballon d’Or winner made up for the missed penalty late on, bagging his third of the game and wrapping up a convincing win for Los Blancos.
