Gibraltar part company with manager Allen Bula

Gibraltar, who are in the same Euro 2016 qualifying group as Germany, have sacked the manager of their national team Allen Bula. Gibraltar’s football association (GFA) announced the decision to part company with the 50-year-old after five years in charge on Monday and are yet to name his successor.

“After an extensive inquiry, the association decided that an immediate change of manager was necessary,” read the official statement. “This decision has not been made carelessly or hastily.”

In their first time in the tournament, Gibraltar have lost all four of their European Championship qualifiers so far. The team, that is made up fully of amateur players, did well to only lose their game against Germany on 14th November in Nuremberg 4-0. Gibraltar’s next qualifier will be on 29th March against Scotland.
