Germany win first Women's U17 title in Switzerland

Germany defeat France 3-0 in the UEFA European Women's Under-17 Championship final at Nyon's Colovray Stadium in Switzerland.

Dzenifer Marozsan and Alexandra Popp scored for Ralf Peter's side in the first half, before substitute Ivana Rudelic secured the victory eight minutes from time.

"We deserved to win today. We are very happy and proud. It was a successful conclusion to a great season in which we have won all games. Now our focus is on the World Cup in New Zealand", coach Peter said after the match.
