Germany win after furious start

Lukas Podolski and Lars Bender each scored a brace in the first 24 minutes to give Germany a 4-2 (4-1) win in their first match of theie U.S. tour against Ecuador in Boca Raton.

Podolski first was on target after just nine seconds and scored his second after 17 minutes. Bender celebrated his second international goal after five minutes and added another one with a powerful shot from 20 meters 19 minutes later.

Ecuadors star player Antonio Valencia pulled one back seconds from half-time (45th.) and Walter Ayovi slotted the second for his team with a free-kick six minutes from time.
