Germany U15s end campaign with a win

The Germany U15 side claimed their second successive victory over the Czech Republic on Thursday to end the 2015/16 season on a high. Bettina Wiegmann’s side beat the Czechs 5-0 on Tuesday in Flöha and backed that up with a 1-0 triumph today.

“The Czech players were better this time around. They made the pitch tight and restricted our intricate passing game,” explained Wiegmann. “However, we managed to break them down and deserved to win the game. I’m delighted with how the players have performed recently,” she added.

Holding midfielder Pauline Wimmer, who plays for FC Viktoria 1889 Berlin, grabbed the winner in the 10th minute. 450 spectators were present at the match.
