The World Champions return to the summit of the FIFA World Rankings. After winning the Confederations Cup in Russia, the Germany national team have reclaimed the top spot they had exactly two years ago. Joachim Löw’s side top the rankings with 1609 points, with Brazil coming in a close second with 1603 points, and Argentina in third with 1413 points.
Chile slipped from fourth place down to seventh after losing 1-0 to Germany in the Confederations Cup final. European Champions Portugal move up to fourth place with 1332 points, whilst Poland celebrate their highest ever FIFA World Ranking in sixth place with 1319 points. Spain slipped out of the top ten and into eleventh place with 1114 points.The next FIFA World Rankings will be released on 10th August 2017.
