Germany climb to second place in world rankings

The Germany national team have moved up to second place with 1465 points in the FIFA World Rankings. The World Cup winners are just 156 points behind Argentina in first place, after Joachim Löw’s team won their last two matches against Czech Republic (3-0) and Northern Ireland (2-0).

Brazil have moved up to third place with 1410 points whilst Belgium have moved up two places to fourth place with 1382 points. Columbia, Chile and France follow, with France getting their own back on Portugal by overtaking the European Champions in the rankings despite losing to them in the final.
