Germany swept aside Japan 3-0 on Thursday in the first match of their three-game tour of Asia.
Miroslav Klose scored twice and captain Michael Ballack was
also on target for the visitors in Yokohama, scene of
Germany's 2-0 defeat by Brazil in the 2002 World Cup final.
Asian champions Japan posed no real threat until the 81st
minute when Brazilian-born Alex's shot forced German goalkeeper
Oliver Kahn into a smart save.
Germany have now won four games and drawn one since Juergen
Klinsmann took over from former coach Rudi Voeller in July.
The three-times World Cup winners play South Korea in Busan on
Sunday before meeting Thailand in Bangkok on Tuesday.
