The DFB-team pressured from the start. Heiko Westermann opened the scoring. Even before half-time Lukas Podolski (45.) and Miroslav Klose (45.) increased at 3-0.
Also after the break Germany pressed, the Azerbaijanis continued on the defensive. The fourth goal came with the support of the guests. Raschad Ferhard Sadigow diverted a cross from Sami Khedira into his own goal (53). The single goal of the evening cashed Manuel Neuer by Rail Malikow (57.).
