German women show strength, win 5-0 against Italy

The FIFA Women's World Cup 2011 might be still 23 days away, but the host and defending champion showed good shape in a friendly against Italy. Germany won 5-0 (1-0) in Osnabrück and continued to improve after the 2-0 over DPR Korea twelve days ago.

After an own goal by Roberta D'Adda (32.), Alexandra Popp (46./77.), Kim Kulig (62.) and Celia Okoyino da Mbabi (69.) scored for the german women, who will meet Netherlands and Norway in their remaining tests before the opening game against Kanada on June 26th.
