Fortuna return to the Bundesliga after 15 years

Fortuna Düsseldorf have followed SpVgg Greuther Fürth and Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga. The Second Bundesliga team only needed a 2-2 (1-1) in the second leg of the relegation against Bundesliga side Hertha BSC Berlin after winning the first leg 2-1 (0-1) at Berlin on Thursday.

Fortuna had a kick start and scored the lead after just 52 seconds through Maximilian Beister. Hertha intensified the pressure and levelled the game after 22 minutes thanks to a header by Änis Ben-Hatira.

Ben-Hatira was sent off with his second yellow card (54th) and Fortuna took control immediately. Substitute Ranisav Jovanovic headed in for the second Düsseldorf goal (59th). Raffael only scored the consolation goal in the dying minutes of the game (85th).
