Fortuna keeps the streak alive

Fortuna Düsseldorf kept its unbeaten streak alive with a 3-1 (1-1) road win at St. Pauli to clinch the action of round eleven in the Second Bundesliga. Andreas Lambertz scored twice and Maximilian Beister added another one, after St. Pauli was up 1-0 by a goal of Max Kruse. Düsseldorf stays in third place, St. Pauli is one place behind.

SpVgg Greuther Fürth climbed back to first place of the Second Bundesliga after a 2-0 (1-0) home victory over FC Erzgebirge Aue. Meanwhile rock-bottom Alemannia Aachen missed their first win of the season only by a few seconds, when they drew 1-1 (1-0) at Dynamo Dresden.

After a winless streak of four games MSV Duisburg beat FC Ingolstadt 3-1 (0-1) on round 11 of the Second Bundesliga on Saturday. After Ingolstadt's early lead by Moritz Hartmann, Dzemal Berberovic, Branimir Bajic and Vasilios Pliatsikas scored. Union Berlin won 2-0 (1-0) against Karlsruher SC.

On Friday Eintracht Frankfurt won 2-0 against VfL Bochum and took over the top of the table. Eintracht Frankfurt are still unbeaten, while Bochum struggles with only ten points.

Hansa Rostock celebrated the first win of the season. The northern side won 2-0 against 1860 München. The third game on Friday between the surprising teams from Paderborn and promoted Eintracht Braunschweig ended 1-0. Christian Strohdiek scored the goal of the day in Paderborn.
