Fortuna back on top

With a 2-1 (2-0) win in the top match of Round 16 against SpVgg Greuther Fürth, their 22nd home game without a loss in a row, Fortuna Düsseldorf have regained the lead of the Second Bundesliga after just one week. Oliver Fink and Jens Langeneke, the latter from the penalty spot, scored with Edgar Prib cutting the deficit in the second half. Fortuna are now five points ahead fourth placed Fürth.

After turning around a one goal deficit in their 3-1 (0-0) home win against Dynamo Dresden FC St. Pauli have climbed to third place on Sunday.

On Saturday Eintracht Frankfurt got their first defeat against 1860 München. Djordje Rakic scored eleven seconds after beginning. The second goal for 1860 München was scored by Kevin Volland. In minute 90 Theofanis Gekas cut the lead. Meanwhile Alemannia Aachen won their second game of this season against Karlsruher SC. Sergiu Radu (36.) and Benjamin Auer (87.) made the goals.

FSV Frankfurt ended SC Paderborn's winning streak with a 2-2 draw. MSV Duisburg won their first away game of the season beating Erzgebirge Aue 2-1.
