FIFA world rankings: Germany replace Brazil as number one in the world

Back up to number one: The Germany national team have overtaken Brazil at the top of the new FIFA world rankings. The current World and Confederations Cup champions managed by Joachim Löw are in the number one spot with 1606 points, ahead of the Seleção (1590 points), European champions Portugal (1386) and Argentina (1325).

Belgium (1265) have climbed four places to 5th whilst Switzerland (1210) slip three places to 7th position. The next FIFA world rankings will come out on the 16th October 2017.
