Durm: "The system worked very well"

Leonardo Bittencourt: We cannot let our heads hang now. We need to keep at it and keep fighting. If you keep working hard, you'll be rewarded in the end. I'm sure this team will get back into winning ways.

VfB Stuttgart 5-1 TSG 1899 Hoffenheim

Kevin Volland: Today wasn’t our day. We made life too easy for them – they had a lot of room and were able to hit us on the break. However, if Jonathan took his chance to make it 3-2, things may have turned out differently. However, we were poor on the whole today. We need to learn from our mistakes and fast.

After each matchday, DFB.de gathers the thoughts of Germany youth and senior internationals. Today, after Bundesliga matchday 25, we spoke to Erik Durm, Max Kruse, Joshua Kimmich and Kevin Volland, amongst others.

Borussia Dortmund 0-0 Bayern München

Erik Durm: I obviously wanted to play so I was delighted to have been picked by the manager. Our system worked very well, especially in the first half. We got in down the wings fairly frequently. We naturally had to do a lot of defending too, especially in the second half. On the whole, I think a draw is okay.

Thomas Müller: I felt that we had the game under control in the second half. Dortmund also had one or two good chances of their own. It was a high-intensity game but I think we had the upper hand. We can live with the 0-0 draw, but I would have liked to see our performance rewarded with a 1-0 victory. It remains exciting and we're under pressure in every Bundesliga game.

Joshua Kimmich: It was intense from the very first minute until the last. We had the better chances and would have loved to win. Five points is a decent gap, so we can be slightly happier with the point than Dortmund. When you're playing often, you pick up more confidence and become better integrated into the team. I'm trying to manage that.

VfL Wolfsburg 2-1 Borussia Mönchengladbach

Max Kruse: We're delighted to have got our second win on the bounce and that we've come out on top in a battle with a direct rival. If we'd lost today, it would have been very hard to come back from. We're now just two points behind Gladbach. It's now a case of building on this next week in Hoffenheim.

André Schürrle: We've dropped a lot of points so now we need to gain some consistency and get a run going if possible. We've started that now with two wins.

Julian Draxler: It's a great feeling, to have gained three points on a direct rival. It's huge for us to gain some ground on them. It's now a case of building on that and marching forwards.

1. FC Köln 1-3 FC Schalke 04

Johannes Geis: Köln are a good side at home and fought back well after going 2-0 down, which is why getting a third goal was crucial. The hosts played well and defended impressively. We took our chances at the right times. We need to keep improving – we’re not looking at the table yet as there’s still a lot of football to be played this term. We need to stick together and continue progressing.

Leonardo Bittencourt: We cannot let our heads hang now. We need to keep at it and keep fighting. If you keep working hard, you'll be rewarded in the end. I'm sure this team will get back into winning ways.
