In recognition of his sparkling display in the 2-0 victory over Northern Ireland in Germany’s third World Cup qualifying match, Julian Draxler has come out on top of the fans’ Man of the Match poll on DFB.de. The Wolfsburg midfielder, who opened the scoring with his early long-range effort, picked up 25.5 percent of the votes cast.
The runner-up was Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira, who only narrowly missed out on the prize with a total of 24.9 percent. Bayern Munich's Joshua Kimmich took third spot with 12.8 percent of the overall vote, in which 2,784 supporters took part.
