The first contingent of Die Mannschaft has arrived in Berlin, as Toni Kroos and Shkodran Mustafi touched down from Spain. The first test of 2016 is fast approaching for the national team as they come up against England on Saturday before playing Italy on Tuesday.
It wasn’t long before the Germany stars were pouring in from all corners of Europe and they had all arrived promptly for 12:00 CET. Die Mannschaft new boy Jonathan Tah came together with Karim Bellarabi and Christoph Kramer from Leverkusen.
Lights, camera, action
As soon as the team had arrived their autographs and appearances in selfies were sought after by the fans that had turned out to welcome them. The first meeting took place at 12:00 and lunch gave the players an opportunity to catch up and ask about how everyone’s season is going.
After a couple of speeches from Löw and the new right-hand man Marcus Sorg, the players got on with training. Eleven players went out onto the pitch while the rest underwent a regenerative session in the hotel.
