The German Football Association (DFB) released the schedule for the DFB-Pokal Last 16 fixtures today. The fixtures include a classic in the West, where Schalke 04 are set to face FC Köln on Tuesday 19th December (KO 20:45 CET), before record DFB-Pokal champions Bayern Munich face defending champions Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday 20th December (KO 20:45 CET) in Der Klassiker.
The sole remaining third-tier club, SC Paderborn 07, will play at home against Bundesliga 2 side FC Ingolstadt in the Benteler-Arena. Three-time DFB-Pokal winners Borussia Mönchengladbach host West Germany rivals Bayer Leverkusen on 20th December (KO 18:30 CET).
The quarterfinals will take place on 6th and 7th February 2018, the semifinals on 17th and 18th April 2018 and the final will be contested on 19th May 2018 in Berlin’s Olympiastadion.
