DFB delegation travels with Grindel to Rio

The German men’s and women’s Olympic football teams have both managed to make history by both reaching their respective finals at the Rio 2016 Games, making them the first nation in history to have two teams reach Olympic football finals. A high-ranked DFB delegation, including president Reinhard Grindel and general secretary Dr. Friedrich Curtius, will honour the successes of the two sides by travelling to Rio for their final matches.

The delegation will be at the stadium for the women’s battle with Sweden on Friday, as well as for the men’s game against hosts Brazil the next day, sitting in the VIP area for both.
