Contract with the DFB-Reisebüro extended until 2022

The Deutsche Fußball-Bund (DFB) and HRG Germany have extended their contract for their joint company, the DFB-Reisebüro GmbH, ahead of schedule. The collective deal for the travel agency has been extended by five years, with the contract being signed at the DFB headquarters in Frankfurt. The new deal will run until the 31st March 2022.

DFB President Reinhard Grindel said: “The DFB Reisebüro has been a reliable partner for decades now, helping with us organisational and logistical matters. We appreciate this longstanding relationship together and would like to continue creating the excellent preparation for international games and tournaments, which is a vital part of our sporting success.”

Katja Schüßler, chief executive of HRG Sports Europe, had this to say: “We are delighted to once again continue this long-term connection with the DFB. For over 20 years now, the DFB-Reisebüro has stood for high quality work in the field of travel and events. The contract extension with our partner, DFB, is both a recognition and at the same time an incentive for us to sustain the standards of service we give and to continue expanding the work being done."

Cooperation with tradition

The DFB and HRG (formerly Euro Lloyd) have been working together since 1965. In 1993, the partnership became the Euro Lloyd DFB Reisebüro. The company was then renamed the DFB Reisebüro in 2013. The travel agency organises all of the DFB’s travel. Alongside organising the daily travel arrangements of the head office staff, the travel agency also takes responsibility for the organisation and implementation of the national and international travel arrangements for the Germany national team, Germany women’s team, Junior national sides, as well as the national team fans clubs.

Furthermore, the DFB-Reisebüro arranges international travel for the media as well as sponsors. The DFB Reisebüro also provides transport logistics for large-scale events, such as the DFB Cup final in Berlin and the DFB Bundestag. Along with the DFB, the Bundesliga also has an exclusive travel partnership with HRG.
