The draw for the UEFA Champions League and Europa League knockout stages will take place in Nyon, Switzerland on Monday December 15th. The Champions League’s Round of 16 will be drawn at 12:00 CET, while the Europa League draw for the Round of 32 will follow an hour later (13:00 CET).
All four German sides managed to progress from their respective Champions League groups. FC Bayern München and Borussia Dortmund won their groups, which means that they will be on the road for their first leg on February 17th, 18th, 24th or 25th 2015 facing a side that finished second in their group. Bayer Leverkusen and FC Schalke 04, who both finished runners-up in their groups, are not potential opponents for FC Bayern and Dortmund as they are from the same country. Teams who qualified from the same group are also not eligible to play each other in the Round of 16. The return legs will take place on March 10th, 11th, 17th or 18th 2015.
