Captain Tah and Uduokhai to miss match – hope for Henrichs

Captain Jonathan Tah, who plays for Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, and VfL Wolfsburg player Felix Uduokhai have had to decline invitations to play for the Germany U21s against Azerbaijan in Baku on Tuesday (KO 15:00 CET) and against Israel in Tel Aviv (KO 17:30 CET). Leverkusen’s Benjamin Henrichs is out with a virus.

“There’s hope that Benni can join us again,” said U21s head coach Stefan Kuntz on winger Henrichs. The coach selected FC Köln’s Jannes Horn and Hertha BSC’s Jordan Torunarigha.

Tah picked up a back injury during Leverkusen’s away game against FC Augsburg (1-1) on Saturday. Uduokhai had to decline in order to play Hertha BSC’s league match on Sunday.
