In the top-match of this week, Hertha BSC Berlin defeated Fürth 2-0 (1-0), to extend its lead over FC Augsburg to four points. Adrian Ramos and Peter Niemeyer scored for Berlin. Fürth suffered their first loss after eight unbeaten games.
FC Augsburg got a scoreless tie at Union Berlin, Düsseldorf and Paderborn ended with the same result. On Sunday VfL Bochum moved back to third place with a 3-2 victory over Alemannia Aachen.
Karlsruher SC has climbed to 14th place, leaving relegation zone two points behind, after beating MSV Duisburg 3-1 (2-0) on round 26 of the Second Bundesliga. FC Ingolstadt 04, too, left the last three spots after a 2-1 (0-0) at FSV Frankfurt. Erzgebirge Aue meanwhile take third place by winning 2-1 (1-0) at Rot-Weiß Oberhausen, letting the hosts drop to 17th place.
